Perfect Fit for a 2007 Suzuki XL7 - Tips

Perfect Fit for a 2007 Suzuki XL7 that was intermittently displaying an EVAP system related trouble code and the Check Engine light came on. Pretty easy installation (if I can do it, so can you since I'm not a mechanic). Remove the engine cover (remove the oil cap and slide the sides out). The part is closer to the rear of the engine (left side). Disconnect the electrical (from the old part) by pushing and pulling on the small tab. Larger connection (one-sided hose connection) by sliding over the tab and pulling out. The third connection (next to the electrical connection, can be painful) is best left for last. I suggest you leave the old bracket in place, unscrew the first two parts above and remove the old part from the bracket. After turning off, disconnect the third connector (it's easier to deal with). Insert the new part (first remove/slide the included bracket from the part). Connect all three and you're done! The car runs much smoother and seems to have much better gas mileage (at the moment). Drove 30km by car. The engine gauge and code are gone. Might be too early for an EVAP test, but I can update the post as needed. Still, you will feel the difference and testing will cost you very little - try this solution. Low cost and fast delivery Revain!
