Review on 🐠 Optimized Fluval Cycle Biological Enhancer for Effective Aquarium Water Treatment by Shannon Young

Revainrating 5 out of 5

20 gallon tank with no fish in 15 days!

I used Fluval Cycle Bio on a new 20 gallon aquarium cycle with no fish. From the established aquarium I had no seeds; I bought two java ferns for my aquarium. I was researching how to do the fastest no fish cycle and this happened! :) Day 1: Fluval bacteria dosage as indicated on the bottle. A dose of 4 drops per gallon from Dr. Tim's Ammonia. Add a small amount of fish food. Reduce the water level a few gallons to increase aeration. : 1.0 Day 3: Bacteria dosage as indicated Ammonia: 1.0-1.5 Nitrite: 2.0 Day 4: Ammonia: 1.0 Nitrite: 4.0-4.5 Day 5: Ammonia: 0.75- 1.0 Nitrite: 5.0 Day 6: 80% water change done (Prime added to new water) to lower nitrite levels in water and bring pH closer to neutral. Bacteria live on the surfaces of the tank and in the filter. Nitrite levels that are too high can stop the cycle. Added ammonia. Ammonia: 0.50 Nitrite: 5.0 Nitrate: 30ppm H: 8.2 Day 7: Bacteria added Ammonia: 2.0 Nitrite: 2.0 Day 8: Ammonia: 1.0 Nitrite: 1.5 Day 9: Added ammonia. Ammonia: 0 Nitrite: 2.0 Day 10: Added ammonia: 0.25 Nitrite: 2.0 Day 11: Added bacteria Some ammonia added Ammonia: 0 Nitrite: 2.0 Nitrate: 5.0 Ph: 8.0 Day 12 : Ammonia: 0.25 Nitrite: 1.5 80 % water change and addition of ammonia and bacteria carried out Day 13: Addition of ammonia Ammonia: 0 Nitrite: 2.0 Day 14: Addition of ammonia Ammonia: 0 Nitrite: 0.25 ( finally a big drop!) Day 15: Addition of Ammonia Ammonia: 0 Nitrite: 0 Nitrate: 80 ppm Cyclic! courting! Gradually lower the temperature to 76. Do a large water change before adding the fish.
