Borrow one first - my new review

If your dog can tolerate it, this will probably be a great purchase, but there it no way to know until the grinder hits the nail. It is reasonably quiet, and the sound or presence is pretty tolerable to most dogs. It is the reaction to having it grind on a nail that is the question. Rather than buy and return, see if anyone you know has something similar and see how your dog reacts.
