Finally getting my shooting protection set up properly

I have Import Sport headphones with audio input. Works for iPhone whatever. I was looking for the right setup to make it work as a paintball headset for me. That plus a headphone audio cable with a mic boom cable did the trick. I've always been looking for the right combination to use hearing protectors (which also improve the sound) with them. I considered throat mics but only one I found offered a 3.5mm jack and it was an unreliable site and didn't seem to offer a good pickup. There were many other mics out there but none of them offered suitable outputs and I didn't solder. Xbox headset with microphone. I was also able to get this plus Impact Sport to work with the Y headset, but that left me with a different speaker. I think I could take it apart and remove the speaker. It was also possible to get another mic (that also still had speakers) to work by using a headset splitter for the mic and audio going through another Y headset, but neither of those two were perfect with the impact sport. If I just wanted an Xbox mic that would be fine, but in a forest of color and possible rain I didn't want to risk it. However, it is a good alternative for general hiking or something similar. I swear I've been looking for the right attitude for days. I can't speak to his toughness. I can say that with the right connections, everything works as I hoped.
