Good water retention, fairly tough, will need fines strained, good buy!
I like that for the price it is fairly consistent, you will need to sift the fines out which could entirely be the shippers fault or happen during storage. Another plus is that this is fairly workable when dry compared to some other akadama soils I have tried. Once wet, water retention seems on par with other more expensive akadamas. I cant speak much to how long it lasts or freeze/thaw cycles as that wont happen where I live but first impressions are very good!
- Came quick. First time dabbaling in bonsai. Seems the product is performing as advertised.
