I live in a house from 1949 and it still has the original, well dug up. Basically a hole 66 feet deep and 3 feet in diameter. The water isn't terrible, my well water was much worse but I didn't like the taste. It's been tested for bacteria and all my animals have been drinking it for 5 years so I know it's safe. Anyway, I have a modern faucet and this thing installs in no time, no problem. But the reason I'm writing this is to report that I can't tell the difference between purified bottled water. The pressure drop was negligible. I have a modern well pump and a large pressure tank, so I use a maximum pressure of about 80psi. On hot - straight through the pipe, on cold - it is extinguished. If it lasts as long as they say I will love it! By the way, I run all the water through a pair of standard 10 inch filters, one white and then one carbon filter. If it lasts a year, it will more than pay for itself.
