As my next step towards health, I bought gallons of alkaline water, but when I discovered an alternative way to maintain the same pH without breaking the bank I jumped at the opportunity. Jug. Not only do I save money filtering my tap water, but it's also a more sustainable way of getting alkaline water. I recommend this jug for its effectiveness and how much it saves me. I have yet to test it with pH strips, but I've read that several others do. I will test this to make sure the water has a pH of at least 8. Until then, this product is a must-have for anyone trying to balance acidic foods and drinks. More research needs to be done on the relationship between alkaline water and health, but all tastier and more refreshing bottled waters (IMO) have high levels of alkalinity (Fiji, Evian, etc.) so I think alkalinity has some sort of health factor. Only time will tell if alkaline water is best for health, but all cancer patients have a high acidic pH, so one would think pH matters. I believe that a person's diet has more factors to balance acidic and alkaline foods, but this is a subject I could delve into all day with facts and personal theories. However, we can conclude that if you are an avid coffee lover, this product is definitely for you.
