I was a bit skeptical at first due to the all plastic construction but was pleasantly surprised. The design is vastly superior to the old one and only shows its benefits when you need to replace the tank valve and remove the old valve. Then you realize that the old style is so badly corroded that you can no longer reuse it 100%. I fiddled with the old one for about 20 minutes and at best was able to adjust it to drip a little (3-7) drops a day. This gave me time to order and ship the new style. I removed the old one and WITHOUT tools I was able to install this new style in under 2 minutes. The most important structural improvement relates to the connection to the supply valve. The old style T-valve uses a flat washer which is unforgiving when screwed back into the tank valve. The smallest angle of contact will flow. The new style uses the familiar conical O-ring that contacts and seals regardless of a slight angle when tightened. Incidentally, the application was unclear. I have a Toto s350e sink and it fits perfectly.
