I ordered this clear acrylic sheet to make a new, unscratched version of an Alberti window or veil. This is a transparent raster tool used to capture right angles and perspective when drawing or drawing. Although I bought my original Albertian window from an art supply store many years ago, I chose to just use a black center mark on a plain piece of plexiglass for this homemade version. The quality of this acrylic sheet is very good. When you receive it, both sides are covered with a thin protective vinyl film that can be easily removed. This protects the plexiglass surface from scratches until use. My sheet of plexiglass was just over 1/4" thick and was not a full 12" square. Its dimensions are 11-7/8 inches on each side. The fact that it is not a full 12 inches was not a problem for my purposes; but thought I'd mention it in case someone is building a shop front and needs an exact measurement.
