I bought two of these lamps mainly to hang some lamps over my plants in the kitchen window. I used to have a regular lamp that I mounted on a very tall stack of boxes (which sometimes fell off) but then I realized I could hang the lights over the plants and not on a stack of boxes. They come with two hooks that you screw into the ceiling and from which you can run the lamp cord. There are two white plastic hooks but I don't know what to do with them; I assume they also help keep your lamp cord in place. You have the option to add a lampshade, but for my needs I just had to screw in the LED plant lights. A good and affordable option for those who want lightweight ceiling lights that are not permanent fixtures. highlighted.
