Cylindrical lamp base and retaining ring are ideal for Ikea Krusning. A good length if you're trying to run a cord across the ceiling and then to a switchable outlet in a typical bedroom. I found 12 feet to be insufficient for this and 15 to be just right. It comes with a hook and mounting clips that work well. Maximum. 75W (actual). It would be great if there was a version with an LED dimmer.

I needed a lamp cord set to hang a large drum shade over my sofa and needed a plug as I have no electrical/wiring experience. It worked great! The only odd issue is that the socket will not fit through a standard Uno or Spider lampshade and is oddly sized to fit Ikea lampshades. Not too bad, but I already had Target's Uno Drum Shade ready to use, which I had to return. I ended up buying a similar drum umbrella from Ikea and it fits perfectly!

That's great. I have a small room with no space for lamps. I saw them in the Ikea catalog with lampshades that I already had. They looked so chic. However, the thought of a 4 hour round trip to Ikea made me take a nap. No amount of meatballs could motivate me. When I found this light cord with switch at such a great price, same as Ikea minus the crowds, lines and ride. This cable and switch was perfect for my DIY UV lamp sterilization project. I simply routed the cable to the box, screwed the UV lamp into the socket, closed the box and I was good to go. I bought two of these lamps mainly to hang some lamps over my plants in the kitchen window. I used to have a regular lamp that I mounted on a very tall stack of boxes (which sometimes fell off) but then I realized I could hang the lights over the plants and not on a stack of boxes. They come with two hooks that you screw into the ceiling and from which you can run the lamp cord. These lights are great! I took them to use in the apartment as there was no lighting in the bedroom. They don't weigh anything, so I was able to screw them straight into the drywall without trying to find a stud in the popcorn ceiling.
