Straps do not stay closed

The first week they seemed to work, and the second they started to unbutton. I adjusted the straps and then adjusted them again trying to find a way to keep these things from velcro closing. I have skinny arms so size doesn't matter. It's the lack of stickiness for a velcro. It just doesn't stay closed, and at the most inopportune moment they open, which will cost me the game. To return
