I used it to store wheels with summer tires. However, I have to say that I store them indoors so I cannot speak about the performance of this product in snow or rain. I've noticed that 1 star reviews are written by "idiots" who don't read the product description before placing an order. It is written in a very understandable way. I ordered a large size so I can store larger wheels in it in the future. The plus size cap is really big and tall so there is a lot of room inside which makes it seem like the cap doesn't "fit" well, but it covers all areas except the underside of the bottom wheel . Finally, the overall diameter of my wheel/tire combo was 24.3 inches and the width was 8.1 inches.
