My favorite Bluetooth headset of all time, the Jawbone Icon, has finally died after years of faithful service. Since Jawbone is no more, I had to find a new pair of Bluetooth headphones. After some research I settled on the Plantronics Voyager 3200 and my feelings are definitely mixed. * I only use it in the car. SOUND QUALITY: This is excellent. I've been told that many of my people can hear me more clearly through the Voyager than through a regular iPhone mic. The volume is quite loud and very clear. FIT/COMFORT: The Voyager 3200 is really very light, so much so that at some point you may forget you are wearing it. However, the attached rubber ear cup is terribly uncomfortable. The rubber is very hard, almost like hard plastic, and even the large size feels like it's about to fall out. The hard tip doesn't sit well in the ear. Because the Voyager is so light, I'm a little concerned that it might fall out and I don't even realize it until I lose it. I plan to solve this by replacing the rubber tip with Jawbone Icon replacement tips, which have been the most comfortable I've ever used. BATTERY: Unfortunately this is a HUGE disappointment at the moment. Voyager claims 5 hours of battery life, but if you want to use apps with higher sound quality than your regular phone like Facetime or Whatsapp, then Voyager now only advertises 4 hours on a full charge. In fact, in my experience, Voyager gave about 1 hour of talk time. I only use it in the car so I never leave it unused for long periods of time. After several short calls (5-10 minutes), Voyager indicated that I lost an hour of talk time after each call. If it doesn't get better after 1 or 2 charge cycles I'll send it back for a replacement. BUTTON POSITION: On a large central button to answer and end your call. It's easy to use, but it's also easy to accidentally trip over while trying to use the other very small buttons around it. The power slider and volume controls are very small and difficult to use when the Voyager is worn on the ear. Assistant (Siri) button is oddly located on the mic stand and is also a very small button but it's far enough away from the others that you can control it without fear of accidentally hitting others.
