One Happy Cub.: Children's Bikes

So I made the mistake of buying a bike that was a little bigger than my 7 year old son. Teaching him to ride this thing without training wheels was of no interest to either of us. In the end I decided to get him the right size but in this Covid isolation I couldn't find an 18 inch anywhere. After weeks of searching, I came across Royalbaby Space No. 1 on Revain. Although more expensive than I wanted, I decided to put up with it and order it. Man I'm glad I did it. Delivery came earlier than planned. The assembly is nowhere easier (I watched the video on YouTube). I'm not an expert, but this bike seems to have excellent workmanship: a solid steel frame, hidden wiring (the brake caliper breaks), a closed chainring and bolts for protection. You can tell that a lot of thought went into the design. Even what I initially thought was a defect (the front tire can't easily rotate more than 45 degrees in either direction) actually turned out to be a precaution upon my investigation (to avoid a tip over and a fall/fall). My son started to fight back and was afraid, he was reluctant to learn to ride a bad bike that was too big for him. If I used to have to push/force him to ride, now I can't keep him. From the moment he sat on it, he drives alone and now considers himself a "master" (his words, not mine). To see him eager to ride a bike of this quality with his little "biker gang" couldn't make me happier. Worth every penny and more.
