Review on Optimize Filter Performance with AquaClear Levelling Device for Power Filters by Gillian Ahn

After my aquaclear 110 had lasted almost a year I ordered a replacement. I ordered 2 because the original unit snapped when I first put the HOB filter on the tank, but it lasted 10 months. The device bent again during the last filter cleaning and could no longer be kept straight. So I wedged a pair of socks between the filter and reservoir, which worked but looked silly, and I can't wear socks if they stick. Filter :-) 2 hours search for this stupid part and 4 days delivery time. The new one fits perfectly and appears to be made of a more durable polymer. I don't think I need an extra spare as they seem to be of slightly better quality than the original products (Fluval bought Aquaclear so this upgrade could be standard on Aquaclear's new range of filters).
