I have the first version of the HP sprocket printer and I can say that the 2-in-1 has more options and is much more fun! It's so elegant and so convenient that it will be a great gadget for the little future photographer in your life or even the perfect gadget for those who travel and document their adventures in their travel journal accompanied by photos! The possibilities are endless. The perfect gift for the aspiring scrapbook lover, creative artist, wedding photos to share on your wedding day or just for fun. BENEFITS: Ease of use and instant printing of your photos, right on demand. The gadget is compact enough to take with you when you travel. The photo paper has a sticky back so you can stick it on any surface, your laptop, the back of your phone or even create a collage of your favorite memories on the wall. I also like the aesthetic design of the camera. 2-in-1 sprocket option. It's so cute and the viewfinder is simple and straightforward. It even has a timer and a flash! Well, that's a plus for a device that started out as a printer. This is the original version only, which also connects to the app on your phone to give you the freedom to choose photos to print from your social media feeds. AVAILABLE WARNING: This gadget is designed for fun and creativity. Don't expect too much from the image quality or the ability to capture landscapes from long distances. The flash is not powerful enough to illuminate an object 2 feet away (see an example image I took from our TV) - the object will be shrouded in darkness. The pictures are also not in HD quality. It may look a little grainy and the color will not be as bright. Using the viewfinder can take a while to get used to how far you need to be from your subject. I cut off so many heads doing this, even if the subject is right in the viewfinder window. GENERAL: Despite its minor glitch, I LOVE the 2-in-1 a lot more than my original version of the Sprocket. I had a lot of fun with my family. It's a keeper! I am thinking of using it for my visualization board, inspirational photo collage of my projects on the wall and more! I can already see many possible uses. And yes, it definitely makes a great gift for teenagers too.
