* **See .update at the end*** I was hoping to use this adapter to connect my Mac to my Asus Rog monitor which is a great monitor but doesn't matter and apparently the monitor freezes when it connected to this adapter and does not work 2 minutes and then comes back. I have other HDMI users and have used this Mac with other displays and never had this issue. I suspect it has something to do with resolution or refresh rate, but I don't know. So for the most part it works, but there's no problem with my screen (I'll try a different screen when I get a chance and update the review accordingly). ****UPDATE*** After a few months of testing, the problem is with the screen, not the connector.
