They burn out quickly.

Since buying my 2013 Prius I've bought five twin packs of these bulbs to replace the burned out ones and now I need another one! I've been driving for sixty years and I doubt I've changed more than five headlights or bulbs before. Prices of lightbulbs of all kinds, including this one, and burnout rates seem like a money-making scam.
