Review on 🐠 Pawfly 4 Inch Air Stone Disc Bubbler: Enhance Oxygenation in Your Aquarium with this Fish Tank Air Pump Accessory by Claudia Brown

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Significant improvement over 2x4 inch cylinder blocks

As the name suggests these provided a significant improvement in air distribution in my DWC solution. Before purchasing these stones I was using a 5 gallon 2 x 4" cylindrical air stone. DWC bucket, four buckets total, all with 110L/min air pump. I had no idea how underrated my old air stones were were until I replaced them with these rated for optimum performance (4" model) at 12L/min air per disc. I have since ordered a second set of four 4" rims. two am Bottom of each DWC bucket, 8 discs in total connected to the same 110L/min air pump The difference in the number of bubbles formed despite pushing the same amount of air through the same amount of DWC solution was simply amazing .Out of the 8 pairs I ordered there is one pair that doesn't seem to perform as uniformly as the others in terms of spread, this difference was so insignificant that I see no reason to go back.If you size up your vents to the minimum air requirement in L adjust itern per minute, your chance of poor quality air distribution is minimal. A lot of people don't know how much air these little guys can take and don't understand why their 20L/min pump, distributed to 4 different vents, is unevenly distributed. Of course, not all bad reviews are the result of this, but I think it's often overlooked and confronted with the general notion that you don't need a lot of air, or a misconception about how much air is optimal to start in DWC environments . (FYI: 1 L/min of air per gallon of solution is generally considered optimal as long as the water temperature does not rise too high.)
