DO NOT listen to reviews that it's not waterproof! The listings can be confusing as some are waterproof and some are not. Just be careful when ordering. I have an elderly cat who occasionally has accidents on the couch. I have these to cover the sofa once I get rid of the urine smell to prevent further problems. 2 days after she put them on she had an accident in the middle of the night and to my great excitement there was a puddle on the blanket when I woke up. It hasn't even made its way into the reference material. They are designed with double protection. The soft material itself is waterproof, as is the second layer underneath. I was able to take a paper towel to soak it up and then use a carpet cleaner to clean it completely. It works exactly as described. They are not as solid as in the photo but I didn't buy them to look pretty. I bought them for work. October 10th. They cannot be dried due to the waterproof layer on the back. I started washing it and doing an extra spin to dry it even more. After that I let it air dry on my balcony for a few hours and it's done. Putting it in the dryer will melt that extra layer.
