Great! After 6 months of use. Advantages: 1) White circle for recording measurements. Easy to erase with an eraser or saliva and a finger. I like that it's a bit difficult to erase to avoid accidentally erasing something. 2) I LOVE that the "16th" of each inch on the tape is marked 1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15. I no longer have to look at the tape to make sure I know exactly which 16th I'm on. My eyes seem to be playing with my mind with all these checkboxes. It's like trying to read the UPC code. This tape solves everything. 3) I like the finger brake to slow tape retraction. 4) A built in sharpener is a fantastic idea. 5) The belt clip is strong and neat. never liked 6) I like the small compact size. Almost half the size of a typical 25ft band. Cons: 1) Being a 12ft band and smaller size, the band is narrower and less strong. Seems to flex for gaps > 6ft. Won't stay rigid and straight. But that's to be expected at the smaller size. To avoid it. Get a bigger FASTCAP and have the same great features. Even with that downside, it's still my favorite band. 2) FASTCAP Suggestion for Improvement: The shape of the pencil sharpener makes the tip of the pencil very long, pointed and sharp. My pencil lead tends to break because most of the lead is exposed. Perhaps install a sharpener that sharpens the shape of a golf map pencil.
