I always thought they were meant to speed drying. Although they are soft and comfortable to wear, I found my hair was wetter than if I had just left it in a regular bath towel. So I'm not sure what the point of them is. However, I rarely let my hair air dry completely. I usually let it dry most of the time and then blow dry it. So if you leave your hair in it for a few hours, maybe it will eventually dry out? I am not sure. Other than that, they're very soft and the workmanship is good, so I don't like them.
