XXL is a size 14 girls

To help everyone out, I will go into depth on this. The material seems to be fine. I was very excited to get the costume, but I have to return it. I am 5' 8&#34; tall and weigh 225 pounds. I wear a size 16 or 18 pants and an extra large shirt. So I read the reviews and ordered an XXL. When I opened the bag and got out the skirt. It does not go even half way around my waist. I got my 12 year old's blue jeans out (which are size 12 girls) and held them up together,the XXL costume looks to be a size 14 girls. I did not bother taking out the rest of the costume from the bag. I am returning it as it is not something I want my 12 year old to wear.
