The keyboard is beautiful. The media control is perfect. The palm rest feels luxurious. Laser keys are an elegant complement to mechanical keyboards. So where does this product go wrong? I had a few issues where the laser keys were getting stuck (!) - this was apparently caused by connection errors between the keyboard and palmrest contacts during use. Unplugging and plugging the rest usually solves the problem. I also encountered an issue where the keyboard was completely unresponsive on startup, meaning I couldn't access the numeric keypad to enter my PIN. Disconnecting the keyboard and reconnecting it seemed to reconnect me. Also, there are times when the keyboard is completely unresponsive on startup until the Razer software has fully loaded onto the desktop. I am very frustrated that this keyboard works better than my old used keyboard. Now I hardly ever use it for gaming as that was my purpose in purchasing it due to the above issues. But hey, it's definitely a nice keyboard - only sometimes it's as functional as the Commodore 64 Classic.
