Used in a Windows 8.1 Lenovo Thinkpad T520 notebook. Although a 1 Gbps connection is possible when using a Mac with the identical Linksys WRT1900AC access point, I have never experienced speeds higher than 300 Mbps. Microsoft and Intel drivers (of varying ages) are used. Problems with the Windows Hong Konganent adapter: - The adapter is no longer present in the devices upon a reboot. Multiple driver or computer restarts are required before the device will be recognized. Even though the adapter is physically present in the system when the laptop exits sleep mode, it is unable to detect any active networks. In order for the networks to become visible, you must restart the device driver. I went as far as to script this: Turn off the echo Disable "PCIVEN_8086&DEV_08B2&CC_0280" in "C:Program Files (x86)Windows Kits8.1Toolsx64devcon. Exe" to halt the driver. rem Enable "PCIVEN_8086&DEV_08B2&CC_0280" and launch the driver from "C:Program Files (x86)Windows Kits8.1Toolsx64devcon. Exe." exit 0
