I had to remove my Betta from a 55 gallon community aquarium after adding new fish - he didn't like his new neighbors. :) After keeping him in a 2.5 gallon round top glass aquarium for a few weeks I decided he needed light, warmth and filtration. The search for a rimless aquarium was in full swing. Fluval CHI was the best bid for the project. . I didn't really like the included filter/light and immediately liked the "cap" which is a thin piece of plastic hanging from the rim of the tank, and of course wide open. for filters. Here are the components I use with this tank: 1. Hydor Slim Heater 15W (5-10 gallons) - placed under the substrate and maintained at a constant temperature of 80°F. . 24 LED Stainless Steel Aquarium Light with Flexible Tube - It comes with a "moonlight" blue light setting. The pneumatically driven miniature angle filter with filter media is ideal: small, unobtrusive, efficient. I adjust the airflow from a small air pump with a Fluval control valve so there isn't too much surface turbulence. It's bubbling a little in one corner.
