Review on Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Fixed Lens - Discontinued by Manufacturer by Adhira Nair ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not a bad product, quite normal quality.

The lens is chic for its money, it completely fulfills them, although you have to put up with some jambs. The picture quality is good, the bokeh is unremarkably ordinary, the working hole is 2.8. For a beginner, it is mandatory to buy much better than the complete 18-55, many opportunities immediately open up with it. The design is terrible everywhere cheap plastic feels like a child's toy after a year of operation, it still works, although dust has made its way between the lenses, you still want something more serious, for example, sigma 85 1.4 If you are thinking of taking 50 1.8 or 50 1.4, take 1.8 if you are not confused by oblique and noisy auto focus and plastic everywhere, if you take 1.4 after vesting, but the difference in the picture is minimal. For myself, I personally decided that I will never take glass without a USM drive again.

Pros
  • Cheap, sharp at f4, light, compact and lightweight
Cons
  • It smears auto focus, flimsy, f1.8 is not working, it’s narrow on the crop, it venetizes strongly on ff, noisy motor, uncomfortable focus ring.
