key fob yes key no. If you only want a keychain, it gets 4 or 5 stars. If you need a key, it should be 0 stars. We were able to program the remote (key fob) by following the instructions on YouTube using a weird sequence of turning the key and opening/closing the door or whatever, so YAY! Saved a few hundred dollars by not buying from a dealer. We had a cut key but we were NOT able to program it even though we had 2 working keys which is what you need for key programming. Maybe because one of my working keys was cut and programmed by Ace Hardware. But for my purposes I already had 2 working keys and only needed one working remote (key fob) so I replaced my old working key from an old broken key fob with this new one and am happy. *Note: If you need to cut and program your Mazda key, Ace Hardware will do it for $60.
