Review on 🌸 X-Haibei Dragonfly Lotus Flower Oval Silicone Molds: A Heavy-Duty 4oz Soap Making Supply for Cold Process by Kelly Caballes

I recently got into soap making and have bought many silicone soap molds to make several pounds of soap at a time. Overall, all of the mold brands with good reviews from Revain (X-Haibei, Grainrain, Longzhang, and Tooto) exceeded or met expectations, and I was very pleased with the results. However, the undisputed #1 winner was X-Haibei's Dragonfly Lotus Flower. The wands are the perfect size and shape - maybe a little smaller than a regular Dove wand, for reference. (You can control the thickness of the bars by simply filling the cavities. If you filled them all the way, the bars would actually be thicker than a bar of Dove soap, so I decided to fill the cavities 3/4 full by the way. ) The silicone is very thick ---- it is by far the heaviest mold I have. The sculpted design is deep and bold, so your soap comes out with a highly visible three-dimensional relief. The silicone is still flexible enough to pop your soap out easily - it takes almost no pressure to squeeze it out. Simply pull gently on the silicone to break the vacuum, then pull out the wands one at a time. I can't imagine this silicone mold ever breaking - it's so thick and strong you can throw it off a plane and you'll be fine. If anyone cares, it's "dry" rubber silicone, not "sticky" silicone (like bra insert chicken patties). (Grainrain and Longzhang are "sticky" varieties.) FYI --- if you make all 4 bars and even fill them 3/4 full, you will absolutely go through a whole pound of melting and pouring. Soap. If you want to fill your cavities all the way to the top, make sure you have 1.5 pounds of melt and fill on hand.
