Review on 🚍 Thetford TITAN 17853: 15-Foot Premium RV Sewer Hose Kit - Black/Green by Mark Walsh

Excellent but not suitable for sewage hose

Okay. First of all I like that it's a 'Made in the USA' hose which is why I chose it over the Rhino have that I had on my old 5th bike. The quality is excellent, I have a feeling the end connectors will never fall off or leak. The hose and hose fittings use excellent seals and good quality plastic. You can step on the hose and it just goes back to normal (who does that? I checked lol). First, when you roll it down it doesn't want to stay that way, it sort of opens back up, maybe 25%. It's fine at the moment I only have 1x 15ft but if I get a second one I'm not sure if it will fit in my bumper it might try to push the other side out if I put two in. Second, I don't have a good knee to attach to the drain knots. The connection from the hose to the elbow comes loose fairly easily if you stretch the hose at all. The handle on the part you screw into the drain is very flimsy and only flexes under load. I don't expect it to last long. Finally, the way the knee connects to the screw is partially lame, it's just little protrusions that just pop out with any tension. Needless to say, the first time the hose was used (yes, the first time) there was a foul smelling incident. I've been camping on wheels for 6 years now and this was my first. I was only 15 feet from the drain and the hose was completely depleted and my knee just popped out when a weight was placed in the hose. So we closed the tanks for a few days. I then had to ask my wife to pull the drain while I used both hands to hold the hose by the elbow and elbow to rotate the pieces while we emptied the tanks. Well that suggests I was closer to the drain for the rest of the trip, no. tension at all and there were no problems. If I had a problem, I didn't stretch it or anything, I just pulled it all the way out and tightened a little as the weight hit the hose. I never had this problem with my other hose. Can I get anything else? no It's still a very good hose and I'm trying to make it "Made in the USA". I'll just buy a new knee, probably a different brand for the drain side of the site, and call it good. I will also get an additional 10ft accessory. Let's hope they redesign this product with a better 90 degree angle for connecting to websites.
