Review on Acer V277U: 2560X1440P FreeSync Monitor with Adaptive Sync and V7 Speakers by Marty Escobar

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Affordable 1440p monitor for design, coding and productivity

I really wanted a 1440p monitor to get a little more screen real estate without breaking the bank. Before that I had a couple of LG Ultrawides that I liked, but got into the habit of flashing after about a year. I made the decision to ditch the ultra-wide screen in favor of a full-size 27-inch screen and so far I haven't looked back. The resolution is superb and works well with my 13" MacBook Pro and 13" Surface Book (1st gen) with the appropriate adapters. I really appreciate the thin edges, contrast and saturation at full power are a bit too high, so I try reducing both, lowering the brightness a bit for my environment and doing a software calibration and the result is pretty good! Ideal for multitasking and working on large canvases like photo editing and coding.
