I wish the glue would work so I could use this item

I am very disappointed. The glue they use on this item doesn't work! I don't care what the instructions say the glue doesn't work. Now I have to decide if I want to use a different type of glue or just write it off as a loss. The item itself looks great, just a pity I can't glue it on!
