Review on 🚦 Partsam Replacement: 2007-2013 Silverado/Sierra 1500 2500 3500 - Red/White LED Smoke Lens High Mount 3rd Third Brake Light Cargo Tail Lamp by Jon Garcia

I am very happy with this purchase. Before purchasing I read some negative reviews where others complained about problems with water getting into their truck around the newly installed third brake light and so I approached the installation with care and concern about this problem, but in fact we had since installing it rain a lot and no problem. I'd say it's important to take the time to thoroughly clean the truck's painted surface, which will have the 3M seal provided attached to it. I saw that there was a lot of black dirt and debris under the old 3rd brake light so I cleaned it very well with rubbing alcohol making sure to remove any old gasket material. Apply 3M Seal to the surface of the truck first and then apply a thin bead of clear silicone around the inside edge of the new light just outside the gasket joint. I then attached the flashlight to the gasket and re-tightened the two factory screws, but not too tight as not to crack the new flashlight. Since then everything has been perfect and the look and functionality of this third brake light is great. UPDATE: December 2020 It's been over 6 months since this new third brake light was installed and everything is still great - no leaks or issues.
