If you like a slightly V-shaped sound signature with excellent detail, you won't find many better headphones at this price point. In my opinion, they're almost as good as their cheaper relative, the Jade Audio EA1, which I find more balanced. But to be honest, they sound as good or better than many IEMs I have that cost well over $100. The sound signature has a decent boost in bass and treble. The mids are rich and presented with the excellent sound quality you can get from a good dynamic driver. For me, the measure of a good pair of headphones is their ability to reproduce strong and punchy bass, but not muddy; with highs that are detailed and have an air that lends spatial presence without becoming harsh or sizzling. They do very well no matter the price. The assembly is very good, you can wear it comfortably for hours. If they were handed to me by blind people I would think this is a more expressive product. The soundstage is fairly wide from left to right, giving a good sense of depth and space; especially considering the price. The level of detail is also good and coherent, as one would expect from a dynamic driver. Overall, the tonality is quite soft, with a warm character and a powerful sub-bass. But you still get the high-level definition of cymbals and triangles in both attack and decay. They have some of the best, most natural highs I've ever heard. While they are very good, there are some areas that they lack. But not much. First, the bass is a bit more powerful for a balanced frequency response, which I prefer. Some will like the Baas accent, but for me it's a bit of an oversight. Detail and image are good, but not on the level of more expensive headphones; especially in the upper mids and high frequencies. This can be a compromise for a warmer tone. But slightly more expensive headphones manage to pull. Very happy with these for the price. Kudos to FIIO for an amazing product. They prove that inexpensive beryllium drivers can sound almost as good as TOTL headphones that cost a lot more money. Get them before they go up in price.
