The device looks great in the photo but the materials do not match the description. Material: mahogany. Details in mahogany: balls at the ends of the hooks. That's all.Material: Marble. You told the truth about it. What did you miss? Bare Steel: The top hooks appear to be galvanized steel, not chrome plated like the bottom hooks and umbrella ring. The main pole is also top center: it's steel with glued mahogany shelving paper. Plastic: All other "chrome" parts. As always, "chrome" plastic looks horribly wrong next to real chrome metal. On the other hand, it's relatively cheap, looks solid, and connects easily.
