I was a bit taken aback when I saw the jet black gel in the container but believe me - it whitens my teeth! Don't be afraid to use it every time you clean - and remember, a little goes a long way. Most needed is a pea-sized spoon on a toothbrush. I picked up some gel with my fingertip and applied it to the brush, but you can also use the brush by dipping it in the jar. The taste consists of cloves, which I love. It may seem a bit strong to some, but it's a refreshing substitute for the mint that's so commonly used in toothpastes. After a week I noticed my teeth are whiter and I will continue to use this toothpaste gel. No fluoride, no cruelty. and packaged in recyclable cups (type 5 resin). As with many products in a container of this size, it is difficult to read all of what is printed on the label. The good news is that the seller includes a QR code for easy access to many more details and better formatted information. A bit more expensive than mass market toothpastes and presented in a jar rather than a tube but we found this product to taste better and whiter than others and well worth the price. We love and recommend this "charcoal white" toothpaste!
