I did a lot of research to find a sandwich maker with a smooth inner grill. It had depth. This one is perfect. It doesn't turn the sandwich into a tiny liquid mass. It perfectly holds two sandwiches. And great for other things like making a burrito omelette. I highly recommend it. And the only downside is that it takes a little time to warm up. But the size is very compact and can stand on my counter at any time. Don't waste your money on sandwich makers who will end up smashing your sandwich into a thin piece of paper.
