2005 SL500 They are perfect. Not as durable as some other aftermarket racks. Use a prop pole or partner to raise the trunk lid. Use a small flat head screwdriver to remove the clips from the factory posts. Take them off one by one. Leave the clips on the new parts and then simply slide them into place. Take a picture! I applied wd40 to each pivot and then raised and lowered the deck several times. Now if I open the trunk and lift it about 10 inches, it lifts all the way up on its own. Nice and controlled. Highly recommended!
