Better, but not better.
This is from a professional contractor who uses waterproof tape all the time. It's a pretty good band. Better than most, but nowhere near as good as a rolled zipper. I used this in a quick rebuild with homemade Tyvek sheeting so I decided to try it on the full system it was designed for. It took about 5 weeks to install while waiting for siding and some gaps formed between the butyl and tyvek. Like I said, decent, but I'm sticking with the full liquid zip system used for my larger work.
