These things are a little thicker than other pairs I've owned in the past. Okay, let's be honest, I've only owned one pair of thermals, and they were horrible. These are soft on the inside, but a little slick on the outside (like a soft-shelled jacket) so that it's easy pull on pants/shirts/sweaters over the top of them.I like the v-neck design as well - so I can keep that collar out of the way.
