Review on Partsam 3x White 12LED Cab Marker Sealed Top Roof Running Light for Silverado/Sierra 1500 2500 3500 2500HD 3500HD 2007-2014 Pickup Truck by Dominic Mayo

After reading a few reviews on these lights I found that moisture is a common complaint but I ordered them anyway. As soon as they arrived, but before installing them, I took them apart to see where water and moisture could get in. In the main central part there are only 5 small screws that attach the cover to the base. The seal between them is simple and cheap foam around the edge. Where the screws go through the assembly, there is no gasket material on the underside between the base and the cover. The only thing keeping moisture out is a foam pad that needs to be installed between the lights and the roof. I ordered a 2 ounce tube of Loctite Clear Silicone Waterproof Sealant to ensure a better seal. After cleaning the foam gasket, I replaced it with Loctite. I also coated any exposed electrical components on the LED board to provide additional corrosion resistance, as well as any other holes or visibilities I could find. I installed them on the roof of my 1974 Chevy C20 and they seem to be working great so far. . I didn't use the switch or fuse provided because I wanted them to be wired to the sidelights/lights so they are fed from a 4 amp fuse in the fuse box which is only energized when the sidelights/ lights are on.
