I just installed this on a workbench bathroom/utility door that we often propped up. I prefer to push the pedal down rather than dig my toe under it (which creates poor torque and causes our final pedal to eventually break). The only downside is that it's quite noisy when lifted, producing a very loud metal-on-metal thump. I plan on adding a bumper sticker to try to muffle the sound. Seems well done. Time will tell as it has a spring and other moving parts. Update: It continued to be very noisy and then the spring broke after a few months of daily use. It bent the metal so it couldn't fit a new spring, so it ended up in the trash. I'm going back to a standard type of doorstop. This is not the best product for a high traffic door.
