Like many here, I have installed many lights. It's a joke. It was delivered with the hull separated from the mounting plate. There was no talk of adjusting screws. I understand why they are there, but at least I have instructions listing what is actually needed. Our drywall falls a bit below the box, so I had to buy 2 1/2"8 machine screws to install the box mount. The screws that came with it didn't bite in the box, although it was enough to keep the light from going out. After I had installed the new screws everything was fine Tips: Kill your light switch if you don't trust the light switch First gather all the lights on the table and make sure everything is in place Buy screws for yours Box or test them under load first just in case (I needed 8 x 2 1/2) Remove the bottom screw cap and two plates Use your fingers to move the wires inside the case if you Install the light arms The light arms must be screwed all the way in so that no threads are showing Rotate the parts with the setscrews so that they are all facing up Tighten the setscrew in tight. Make sure the top screw and bottom screw allow the installation of the support plates and support screw. with enough friction to hold Hang the lantern on the ground screw about halfway down the ground wire so you can use both hands. with one hand and tighten a screw a few turns. Do the same with the other. Raise the lantern and slowly tighten both screws, a few turns at a time. Insert incandescent lamps. Turn on the switch. Switch on the light. Mine also arrived with a few small dents on the side of the hanging case. I almost asked for a new one but at that point it wasn't worth the hassle. It may be a returned device.
