I don't know why the reviews for these parts are negative. The product arrived new at half the retail price, the retailer flashed it within an hour and everything works great. If you have an H3 with a factory sunroof (every year), the drain lines have been known to clog or leak, which in turn can cause water damage to the BCM (passenger side panel). Or if you have an H3 with a factory towbar kit, the wiring is prone to shorting out if the wiring harness behind the rear bumper becomes frayed. Both of these factory installed options can damage the BCM or cause it to malfunction. Radio controls, air conditioning controls, door window and lock controls, horns, courtesy lights, infrequent brake and turn signals, and even access lock interfaces all work with a bad BCM. If these problems or a combination of them occur consistently or intermittently, check the BCM.
