I bought these for a 2004 Toyota Camry because I thought the existing remotes didn't work. When I followed the steps (included with the remote control) to put the device into programming mode, the device didn't recognize them. After doing more research, I learned that the likely problem wasn't with the remote controls, but with the remote receiver in the car (search for "RKE receiver" or part number "89741-AA020" for a 2004 Toyota Camry) . Found some videos. where the receiver is located and how to remove/replace it. I then went to the local Pic-A-Part (junkyard) and picked up the phone from a retired car of the same make and model. The year the car was made varied but these remotes work with a variety of receiver models and years so I was confident they would be compatible. Installed a faulty car receiver in a 2004 Camry, then followed the steps to put the car into programming mode. The car not only successfully recognized the new remotes, but also the two original remotes that I thought were broken. The whole thing cost me $6.50 to have it replaced at the junkyard ($5.50 for the part plus $1 for entry to the junkyard). But if you can't find one in your local yard, you can find receivers online for as little as $40. Now I have four remotes per machine, which is a bit excessive. I might return or resell the ones I bought as I don't need them. One star deducted because the product description says "KeylessOption warranty card plus KeylessOption LED flashlight included with every purchase" but I only received the warranty card. I would give 4.5 stars if I could because it doesn't really affect how the remotes work, but if your item description says your order comes with a flashlight and then your order comes without a flashlight, then your product description is inaccurate.
