UPDATE: Must reprogram if no battery is a bit

Update: On a whim I decided to see if it would go for a reprogramming. It works now! I had to post this sequence on YouTube because I never got it right reading the instructions. I'm assuming it can't be specific coding like my OEM, it won't always hold the connection. Although I wish the batteries weren't so dead as I know I can use it as long as it has batteries and if it still doesn't work reprogram it I'm fine with that as a backup. Replace batteries twice. Last time I tried two differentโ€ฆ

Highly recommended for 2006 Toyota Camry

These remotes have 3 buttons plus a rear panic button. Find a youtube video on how to program the Camry - lots of cool doors to open/close, put the master key in the ignition, lock/unlock the door, press the lock/unlock button on the remote and you're done. Boot opening and panic are also automatically programmed on the remote control. Thus, all buttons work like the original Camry remote control. The remote even came with a FREE battery. The only oddity was that there was a piece of metalโ€ฆ

BEST DEAL on Revain!

We bought a used Camry that came with a key and remote control. I went to Ace to make duplicate keys. Unfortunately the cut wasn't great so I asked about buying a remote and was told the remote was $136. They also told me that Toyota charges over $200. . So I went home and I was like, 'Hmmm, I wonder if Revain is selling them? Revain had a pack of two remotes. "Select your car and year."And SCROLL" There I found a link to the instructions on how to program my remote. Good deal. I printed outโ€ฆ

Works as expected. Both fobs work and are programmed at the same time

It took me several attempts to get my 2004 Camry into programming mode. The car indicated that it was in programming mode, repeatedly closing and opening all doors about every 30-40 seconds. From another reviewer. This worked for me. 1. Start with the driver's door open and unlocked. Insert the key into the ignition and remove it 2 times within 5 seconds.3. Close and open the door 2 times.4. Insert the key into the ignition and remove it 1 time.5. Close and open the door twice.6. Put the key in

  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish

Weird but it worked!

****UPDATE. It turns out there is a feature in my car where the rear window opens separately from the tailgate. So the hold/trunk button opens the window and the unlock button opens the tailgate. who knew. LOLI thinks putting his car in programmable mode is pretty funny. Key inserted, key removed, door open, door closed, key inserted etc. But it worked! I read the process to my son and realized there was a step at the end that I had missed and it still worked. The trunk button does not work onโ€ฆ

They work but your problem may not be your old remotes

I bought these for a 2004 Toyota Camry because I thought the existing remotes didn't work. When I followed the steps (included with the remote control) to put the device into programming mode, the device didn't recognize them. After doing more research, I learned that the likely problem wasn't with the remote controls, but with the remote receiver in the car (search for "RKE receiver" or part number "89741-AA020" for a 2004 Toyota Camry) . Found some videos. where the receiver is located andโ€ฆ
