Not very waterproof

When I buy a product I wait until I've used it for a while before writing a review. I bought this product in May and here's the narrow one: Pros: - Great color choices and moderately water repellent, NOT waterproof - Washable if you do it right: wash warm and tumble dry low as others have complained. - NOT WATERPROOF: I have a rescue dog who is having trouble with homeschooling. I bought this product because it peed on my sofa (thank god my sofa is machine washable). Training is going well, but sometimes he makes mistakes. Just recently I went into the living room and found piss on the couch. So, I was in the living room 10 minutes ago and I didn't pee. When I found the urine, most of it had already seeped into the easy-going. Thank goodness I read the low reviews because I was suspicious of the effectiveness of this product, so I bought PoochPads (waterproof, reusable pee pads) and put them under the easy-going sleeve). There were still a few drops left on the lid, but I suspect they seeped in at some point. Now you might be thinking that the pad (pictured) is there to keep the urn from seeping onto the couch. No, the substrate is porous. PoochPad protected the sofa, not the cover. I did manage to wash the cover successfully, but I was wary because other people said it fell apart after washing, which could theoretically be due to the cover being put in a super hot dryer. As mentioned, I washed with warm water and tumble dried on low. Hope this is helpful.
