Review on Synthesizer Roland GO:KEYS GO-61K red by Dorota Winiewska ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I was surprised by the quality for this price.

My second synthesizer (the first Yamaha PSR-e373 stayed for a week and changed to this one) - but I had to immediately listen to the advice of the elders This device was recommended by a familiar keyboardist, but I didn't pay much attention to the Internet, and the budget is already different compared to the target one. But! After buying Yamaha, I realized that the choice was not correct. I watched video reviews, read articles, and already remembering my past experience, I went to the store to "feel". And immediately fell in love! + The keys have a very pleasant tactile feel. They are rough, they are tight - but I really liked it. + Sound and sounds - well, even the tuned speakers are just super. Lively, varied, juicy. In general, my ears are satisfied. + Design. Modern, cool, and my favorite color is red. + Bluetooth - at first I didn’t really like it, but now I understand that it’s a very cool thing! Well, now about the cons: - The main drawback is the "touch" buttons. The sensitivity is not very good, sometimes you have to press 2-3 times, which does not allow you to quickly switch. I think that in a year or two they will be completely erased. - Access to sound banks. On the one hand, the categories are conveniently signed, on the other hand, there is no possibility of quick access to your favorite sounds. You have to scroll through (up to 50 sounds you have to press the "+" button 60 times). - Mix Loop is a funny thing, but some parts (officially spelled out in the manual!) It is impossible to change the major / minor of the chords. - The mini-jack connector at the output turned into the purchase of a 3-meter stereo pair, which is generally normal, but not all remotes / speakers will be able to connect, and the “flimsy” connection point compared to a regular jack will loosen faster. Summing up everything - I am very satisfied with the purchase, while playing I enjoy both tactile sensations and sounds - both at home and as part of a group. Pairs well with live instruments. Unfortunately, you have to endure the cons and think about durability with caution (there are weaknesses indicated above).

Pros
  • + Design + Sound (characteristics and quantity) + Build quality, materials + Bluetooth + Keys + Size + Weight
Cons
  • - Control buttons - Mix Loop - No music stand included -+ Mini jack output -+ Access to sound bank
