it was very handy it took ONE day

a small metal stand that attaches the long strap to the short strap. it broke within a day. a day. the previously purchased silicone strap lasted almost 3 years before the silicone failed. This one failed what was supposed to be the strongest part (metal?) in a day. If you value your Apple Watch then you should definitely look elsewhere as I wouldn't trust this particular band at all and would avoid it entirely.
